南中学子“万里”情深，外语素养大赛大显身手

在刚结束的 2021“外研社杯”全国中学生外语素养大赛湖南省决赛中，我校11人获得省一等奖，20人获得省二等奖，33人获得省三等奖。
此次比赛有两个环节：我对世界说和专家近距离。
我对世界说占总分70%，要求选手围绕“万里”的主题可自拟内容进行三分钟英文演讲，完成三分钟的命题演讲。演讲主题万里（A Long/Great/Vast Distance）， 是一个空间的概念。“万里长城”、“万里长征”、“相知无远近，万里尚为邻”，在我们中国人的词典里，“万里”蕴含着许多含义，或壮丽山河，或艰苦征程，或绵绵情谊，或万丈豪情，或迢迢距离。
专家近距占总分30%，由评委向选手提问，选手根据问题做出回答。要求在 2 分钟内回答完毕。
我校选手们能对所选主题进行深入分析，并能联系实际展开合理思考；演讲结构完整，节奏安排合理；他们的语音、语调正确，表达流畅，情绪饱满，语速、姿态、眼神交流合宜得体，所以才能取得如此傲人的成绩。
下面我们两位获奖学生的精彩演讲吧：
省一等奖获得者符嘉欣演讲稿：
A great distance
Good morning，teachers. Today，my topic is a great distance. Since ancient times, China has been known around the world for its friendliness to people. Today, this concept has not only been used in China, but has been applied to the world stage, and 2020 is even more vividly reflected.The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 has given people around the world a deeper understanding of the term globalization. As a responsible major country, China has played an important role in global governance and containment of the epidemic. There is a poem in ancient times that says，You and I are people on the same road, facing the wind and rain and sharing a round of bright moon together, how can we be thousands of miles away?
自古以来，中国就以其对人民的友好而闻名于世。如今，这一概念不仅在中国被使用，而且已经应用于世界舞台，2020年更加生动地反映出来。2020年COVID-19的爆发使世界各地的人们对全球化一词有了更深入的了解。作为负责任的大国，中国在全球治理和遏制疫情方面发挥了重要作用。有一句古诗这样写道：‘青山一道同云雨，明月何曾是两乡’。
Although a great distance apart, China has provided the world with more than 2 billion vaccines. At the worst situation of the epidemic, Chinese from all over the world were sent back to China by planes organized by government, and they were able to return to their missed hometowns a great distance away.China's international influence and appeal have been enhanced, and its domestic cohesion has also become stronger, which makes me feel that although the road ahead is full of difficulties and seems to be a great distance away, the road to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is just around the corner.As long as hearts of the people are united，any difficulty can be solved. I believe that as long as each of us dedicates a force to the prosperity of the motherland, the road of great distance will be easily completed with our efforts. For myself, I will also spare no effort to dedicate my strength to the future development of the motherland .
尽管相距遥远，但中国已向世界提供了20多亿种疫苗。在疫情最严重的时候，来自世界各地的华人被政府组织的飞机送回中国，他们能够回到很远的家乡。中国的国际影响力和号召力增强，国内凝聚力也增强，这让我感到，虽然前方的道路充满困难，似乎还有很长的路要走，但中华民族伟大复兴的道路指日可待。人心齐，泰山移。我相信，只要我们每一个人都为了祖国的强盛奉献一份力量，万里之路在我们的努力下也会轻易走完对于我自身而言，我也会不遗余力地为祖国以后的发展献出自己的力量。
Since my sixth grade, I have been dreaming to be a diplomat. With the growth of age, this dream is clearer in my mind, and I firmly believe that great efforts and sweat should be paid for it. Taking pride in being a Chinese, I have been promoting myself to gear myself to the needs of the nation and move forward all the way. Thousands of miles are not far away, so we should only fight for the day.

自从我六年级以来，我的梦想就是成为一名外交官。伴随着年龄的增长，这个梦想在我的脑海里越发清晰，我也更加明确要为此付出的努力和汗水。为了祖国的外交事业发展和身为中国人的自豪感一直推动着我不断提升自己，一路前行。万里不远，只争朝夕。
省三等奖获得者张璐演讲稿：
Nowadays, with the development of internationalization, the world is increasingly connected. There are also many people in our country who actively appreciate the customs and customs of thousands of miles away. Almost everywhere in the world there are footprints of Chinese. Some people actively learn from foreign countries and return to the embrace of the motherland and participate in the construction of the motherland when they have achieved success in their studies; some people actively respond to national policies and go to developing countries such as Asia, Africa, and Latin America to help their development; some people obey the command of the country and go to the war-torn land to safeguard world peace. All these people who are thousands of miles away and the builders at home have come together to make China a star in the vast night sky. Even if we are thousands of miles apart, we are still connected, accompanied by the world of mortals and we work together to build the motherland.
如今，随着国际化的发展，世界的联系日益密切。我国也有许多人积极去领略万里之外的风土人情。世界上几乎所有的地方都有中国人的足迹。有的人积极向外国学习，并在学有所成之时回归祖国怀抱，参与祖国建设；有的人积极响应国家政策，前往亚非拉等发展中国家，助力于他们的发展；有的人听从国家的指挥，前去战火纷飞之地，维护世界的和平。这些所有在万里之外的人与国内的建设者们，汇集成一股力量，让中国成为浩瀚夜空中的一抹星辰。即使相隔万里，我们依然联系在一起，红尘作伴，我们携手共建祖国。
获奖总是一件令人愉悦的事情。虽然高三的学习特别忙碌，但是因为有对英语的热爱，符嘉欣和张璐还是忙里挤出时间参赛，她们在得知自己获奖时非常开心，
符嘉欣说：
此次的外研社杯通过老师和家长的帮助，虽几经周折，最终还是取得了不错的成绩，对此我感到十分开心。柴静说:“生命不是用来比较而是用来完成的”，我将这句话与日常的学习生活紧密地结合在一起。我学习英语的过程也是这样：有足够的兴趣，毕竟兴趣是最好的老师；愿意花时间在英语上；积极参加各种学科竞赛.....课外，我也有摘抄好句、背俚语、记生单词本、刷题的好习惯。我钦佩张京的口译能力，赞叹王毅外长的深谋远虑，崇拜季羡林老先生能够熟练掌握多国语言。生命的道路很长，愿你我都能在之后的学习过程中将目标一一完成，实现自己的人生理想。
张璐说：人生，来如风雨，去如尘埃，但感恩之心，常驻于此。学习从来就不是一个人的事情，这一路上少不了老师的帮助，家长的支持，同学的鼓励，在此由衷地感谢这一路上所有帮助我，支持我，关心我的人。这次的英语比赛我受益匪浅，让我遇见了许多比我优秀很多的人，即使是获得了奖项，我与自己相比，与他人相比也仍然有很多不足之处，我还需要不断地改进自我，更新自我。学习如同逆水行舟，不进则退。只有当我们不断地努力，不骄不躁，认真对待学习，不轻言放弃，踏实勤奋，才能取得更优异的成绩，才能创造更美好的未来。今后的岁月，我想自己会越来越努力，为了自己的人生而拼搏，为了自己的未来加倍努力。我相信，只要我立下了目标，下定了决心，这条路上任何荆棘都会被我清除，自己的路将会更加光明，更加宽敞明亮。未来路上肯定不是一帆风顺的，而恰是“不经一番寒彻骨，怎得梅花扑鼻香”。未来，我会继续努力，不断突破自我，超越自我，成就更好的自己！
