Thank you, Kingfisher

   Human’s imagination has never been used up and, at the same time in the long history of natural science, our efforts of achieving them into realities have never ended. Maybe one day, a human being standing in the forest chatting with animals just like with his own relatives would not merely exist in those old fairy tales, but as normal as making a phone call to an intimate friend. If that really happens, from my perspective, I will express my appreciation immediately; to a small bird called kingfisher I ran into, which deeply impressed me in the memorable childhood.

And here is what I want to say.

Hello, maybe you have forgotten the girl standing on the pathway, observing you hunting fish, and eventually forgot the time to go to school. But I always remember that morning when I was rushing to school on the pathway, I noticed you waiting for something in the reed. However, your colorful feathers made you fail in hiding yourself, obviously. I started to find what you were waiting for, suspecting you were just having a rest. Suddenly you dashed into the stream and flew over the water, with a small fish in your beak. In no time you disappeared, leaving me there shocked.

       After a while, I walked to school and announced that I would attend the track training. However, the day before I just had a quarrel with my parents, since I had decided joining the track team at school and my father was against it. I don’t think I have an excellent nerve for running .But at the age of twelve I merely wondered if I could awaken my potential in any aspect. Not only did you show me the splendid capacity of hunting prey, but also I suddenly knew how important a decisive action was to everything I had to decide, at the moment you flew over the surface of water.

  Also I have realized, after all, you are indigenous of the land, and modern social natives like me seem to be less familiar with the wild, you do know how to survive the bleak, how to seek a proper prey, how to hide your gorgeous appearance… And all of these have influenced me on my way of growth.

  Life has greatly changed since I got what you inspired me soundlessly. For the past few years I have regarded you as a part of my inspiration to carry out various missions in a proper and efficient way, to earn the characters like never giving up the opportunities worth taking ,never putting off what have to be done till its deadline. It doesn’t matter to me whether I would choose to be an athlete , as I have realized dropping a thing I don't really deserve is as well as picking up one.

 My dearest kingfisher, having met you, in sincere, is the very precious fortune I’ve ever got.
