The experience of American’s life

Good morning, boys and girls. I am very glad to give a speech about my experience of American’s life.

Well, today I have two topics to talk.

   The first topic is communication. It is not a big deal whether you have good English grades at school or not. Because the Chinese exams focus on your reading skill and writing skill. They want you to read fast and catch the important information quickly. But in America, whether you have a successful communication depends on your listening skills and speaking skill. If your listening is very poor, you can’t understand what the Americans say, and if your speaking skill is very bad, you can’t express what you want to say. The speaking skill also depends on your standard pronunciation and accent. American people usually don’t understand what Chinese says, though they also speak English because most of the Chinese have special Chinese accent and pronunciation. Americans call this special language is “Chinglish”. I am very happy that I don’t have that problem.

   By the way, when you are talking with Americans, you should be outgoing and speak bravery and clearly. If you are make some grammar mistakes. Don’t worry about it, American people usually speak oral English, just like we speak oral Chinese, so they don’t mind it even they don’t know you have make some mistakes.

  The second topic what I want to say is about American’s thinking. When you study at school, Chinese teachers like to focus on your grades and drawbacks. They always want to pick out students drawbacks, and want them to turn their bad hobbies into a better person. But in the USA, teachers like to focus on your advantages, behavior and honesty. They want to improve what you are good at. Honesty is the most important in America, if you break the principle which should be honest, you will be affected for a long time, even a whole life.

  There are three types of things that Americans don’t like to talk about.

  The first thing is about religion. It is free to believe different religion in America. People with different religions have different points. Maybe they have conflicts. Thus it will affect the whole society’s safety.

  The second thing is politics. It is alive to talk about politics. The presidents of The United States are picked out by the public. But it doesn’t mean the president are directly picked out, because the president candidates are picked out by the people who are the represent there own states, and the president are picked out from the president candidates by the public. So the choice of the public is very small. Some people may stand up for another person; even some people don’t like them all. So there are a lot of arguments. When I was in America, Donald trump became the president, and there are a lot of marches against the new president of the United States. That is a serious problem in America.

  Last but not the least is about personal secret and work secret. You had better not ask any questions about personal secrets expect you are close friends. Work secrets, as well as you know, American have the top technologies in the word. If you said any thing about work secrets, it could leads to your company breakdown! Even a word!

  Different countries have different curlers. I have a indelible experience of it.
