地球日 南中在行动

世界地球日（Earth Day）即每年的4月22日，是一个专为世界环境保护而设立的节日，旨在提高民众对于现有环境问题的意识，并动员民众参与到环保运动中，通过绿色低碳生活，改善地球的整体环境。世界地球日来临之际，不少学校开展迎接地球日主题活动，我们南方中学的外教Megan给每一个教学班带来Earth Day的讲座，介绍了地球日的来历，分享了很多可以保护地球的方式，学生们也积极参与，纷纷提出自己的建议。Megan还让学生带来了空的垃圾瓶，和学生一起动手，变废为宝，美化地球生活环境！

Megan说：Earth is our home. Since we only have one Earth, we need to protect it. There are many ways students can help protect the environment, such as remembering to turn off the lights when they leave a room and taking shorter showers to save water. Instead of throwing recyclables in three trash, they can put them in recycling bins or reuse (upcycle) them into something new, like a piggy bank. Clothes can be given to younger siblings, cousins or donated to those in need.

课后Megan还好德国外教Dennis一起给没有口语课的学生带来了Earth Day的英语角。同学们很受启发，纷纷表示在以后的生活中一定会注意节能节电，注意回收利用，好好保护我们的地球母亲！
